Consider the environment of the story. Is the environment dark and creepy or light and playful? What words does the author use to describe both the landscape and society the characters live in? Can you envision the landscape and places the author describes?
How (with what words) does the author describe the landscape the characters live in? (Is the environment described a lot? Or very little?)
Find a quote from the novel that shows how the author describes the environment.
