Add security measures to clinical workflows, and watch out!” (109-110).

 

Clinicians are very resistant to anything that impedes their time to treat, their flexibility, etc. Knowing what you know now about the criticality of theses controls (Network Security, Encryption, Mobile Device security, or Application Security), how can you help encourage the adoption of these controls even if sometimes inconvenient? What are the possible implications of IT/Security giving into the demands of clinicians to remove, turn off, stop these controls. What are possible implications of forcing security controls that impact the ability to care for patients?
