Compare and contrast a main female character with a main male character and how the characters are portrayed.

compare/contrast a female character to a male character in a work pick any work you like, excluding “The Yellow Wallpaper,” “The Story of an Hour,” or the Office episode “Boys and Girls.” You may address any aspect of the story (character development, symbolism, narrative structure, criticism, etc), but focus on the idea of feminist criticism. This means you will concentrate on how the women are portrayed, how the female authors perceive themselves and other women, and/or how the men in the story act in accordance to their female peers. Then compare/ contrast the female character to a male “hero” of either the same work or another work of your choice, excluding “Araby,” “The Open Boat,” or “The Swimmer.” How are these characters similar/different?
