Historically, nurses have been perceived as having considerable prestige, perceived as being the most trusted profession. Trust, in nurses, is linked to their interpersonal communication skills, providing respect and meeting the needs of patients. With all of the changes in healthcare, can nursing as a profession center on keeping caring in nursing? One nurse at a time, I believe we can. Christian caring says we can. Matthew 25: 35-36 states:
“For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me in, I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison and you visited me.”
