Historically, nurses have been perceived as having considerable prestige, perceived as being the most trusted profession. Trust, in nurses, is linked to their interpersonal communication skills, providing respect and meeting the needs of patients. With all of the changes in healthcare, can nursing as a profession center on keeping caring in nursing? One nurse at a time, I believe we can. Christian caring says we can. Matthew 25: 35-36 states:
“For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me in, I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison and you visited me.”

What type of drug should you prescribe based on your patient’s diagnosis? How much of the drug should the patient receive? How often should the drug be administered? How might different state regulations affect the prescribing of this drug to this patient?

Additionally, it is important to ensure that the treatment plans and administration/prescribing of drugs is in accordance with the regulations of the state in which you practice. Understanding how these regulations may affect the prescribing of certain drugs in different states may have a significant impact on your patient’s treatment plan.
