One of the major take-a-ways that we discussed about federalism in class was that it evolves overtime and that the balance of power between the national and state governments ebbs and flows. Do you think this was the intention of the founders when they first proposed the federal system, or do you think they anticipated something more stable? What do you think is the main reason for the ebb and flow of power between the national and federal governments? Do you think that federalism is still the “best” system of power for the United States? Why or why not?
