Write an essay in which you establish your own position on the debate over who is responsible for childhood obesity.
The primary question you are to consider is who is responsible and what should be done, if anything, when it comes to childhood obesity (and that is assuming that childhood obesity is even something that we should be concerned about in the first place). Should the giant food companies like McDonald’s and Coca Cola be held responsible for the problem if they market their products directly to children? Should the government require food manufacturers and restaurants to produce only “healthy” food and provide nutrition information for everything they serve? Or are the parents the ones who should be responsible for what their children consume? How about the schools? Or the doctors?
