Our proposal to research and discuss the relationship to poverty with the struggles of the Civil Rights Movement is crucial. I think that, in relation to your second idea, you can also detail the relationship between systematic racism and poverty as a structure. Particularly helpful to this research may be the work we discussed through Ella Baker and Claudia Jones. Providing details of the organizations that fought on both fronts — class and race — will prove especially useful – my second Idea was racism towards Muslims as I am a hijabi Egyptian American Muslim in the United States
