As an expert on current and emerging threats to U.S. National Security, you have been appointed by the President to lead a bi-partisan National Security Strategy Committee. The goal of the Committee will be to reform the National Security Strategy of the U.S. to address the traditional and non-traditional threats currently being faced by the United States. The President has asked you to generate policy proposals to present to the Committee. Because not all members of the Committee are members of the President’s party, they will not all share your views on the most significant threats currently being faced by the United States. You will need to convince the Committee that the threats you identify are those most in need of immediate action to protect the National Security of the United States.

Write 14 pages double-spaced paper (not including cover page or references) that addresses the following criteria:
Generate the top two threats you believe pose the greatest danger to the National Security of the U.S.
Prepare your justification for why these threats merit attention compared to other major threats being faced by the United States.
Develop the policy changes you have generated to address these threats.
Hypothesize how will members of the Committee react to your proposals. Include at least one reaction likely from a Committee member from a political party different than your own.
Gauge how Congress and public opinion will react to any part of this strategy and which parts will be declassified for such a reaction?

For the purpose of this second Project, you are still the Data Security Analyst for Allied Technology Systems. Consider this project a continuation of the work you performed in Project #1. In this portion of the investigation, you are ONLY collecting the physical evidence, documenting and reporting. You will NOT be handling the digital data during this stage of the investigation. (This step will be discussed in the Final Project.) You should limit your “care and handling” of each piece of evidence to the physical handling of the digital item/container.

With the scenario in mind, you are to write a report to your supervisor, thoroughly providing a response to the following questions (in paragraph format, properly citing outside research, where appropriate) to both Part I and Part II of the project:

No way everyone is going to become an urban farmer after reading all these articles and seeing all these films. No way everyone is even going to grow a little cilantro on the kitchen counter or on a window cill.

But, everyone can support urban farming. Unfortunately, we are moving toward a place where we may have to do more than go to the grocery store to get our food. Now, growing is a choice. Later, it may become a necessity.

So, what should we do now in terms of trying to become a bit more self sufficient? How should we support those who are taking on the grand endeavors of helping to feed their community?
