Compare and/or contrast two of the stories about Canadians and World War One.
Assuming that you are not a rationalist, and don’t accept Descartes’ theory that all sense experience can be open to doubt, construct an argument after Locke that shows that your perception of your car or your room is not subject to any universal doubt. Does the color of your car really exist in the car, according to Locke? Does your room exist when you are not in it?
What are some of the “green” strategies devised in different cities around the world to combat the effects of climate change? How do you think you city is green or can become greener? Please note that that the last part of this question is very important. Discuss what you do and what your city (or town) does and then make comments and suggestions in your replies. Be creative in thinking about new ways in which we or you can/could be greener and how these ways could be put into action.
