write a one to two page response to “The Storm” based on your notes. There is no reason to summarize the story since we’ve all read it. Try to include some of the following:
-What phrases, actions, or dialogue confused you?
-What vocabulary did you not understand? (Why do you think the story is written in an uncommon dialect?)
-What symbols, smilies, metaphors, or analogies did you notice?
-What do you find interesting (either in a positive or negative way) about the decisions made in the story and why do they stick out?
-Does the story have a happy ending? Why or why not?
-What stance does the story take on lies?
-How does the story question traditional gender roles? Why does that matter?
