Fieser (2000) discusses the different reactions we have when we hear about cultural practices that are different than our own – some amuse us, “others make us squeamish….still other foreign cultural practices, make us morally indignant” (p 1) In this Short Assignment, I would like you to do two things: Explain an example of a culturally diverse moral belief or practice (Note: come up with your own example, don’t use one of the examples discussed in the course readings. If you find the example from an online – or other – source, make sure to cite! Explain what a Cultural Relativist would say about your example. (In explaining how the CR would respond to your example, make sure to briefly explain the view)
