The purpose of this activity is to encourage you to think about and develop your own personal theory of effective teaching. Think about two of the most effective teachers you had while you were in school. List specific things these teachers did that made them effective. Now think about two of the least effective teachers you’ve encountered. Again list specific things these teachers did that hampered their effectiveness. Then analyze the lists for differences. What kinds of things can you implement in your own teaching, based on the effective teachers? What kinds of things should you avoid, based on the ineffective teachers? Analyze these differences
