occurring language samples of child language (2-5-year-olds), transcribing these data, analyzing these data, and integrating the research literature in a discussion of the data. The papers will address four aspects of the child’s language – phonetic, syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic. The papers will explore two major questions: What does the child know about language? What can the child do with language?
