Critically discuss the positive and negative contributions which the hosting of large scale exhibitions and conferences can have for the host community in terms of social and cultural impacts. Take into consideration the current economic climate and how this might impact in such decisions. Question Three Critically discuss the changes which have occurred within exhibitions and conferences which were previously seen to be political in their nature but evolved in recent times and the impact (positive and negative) that these changes may have had on attendee experience. Question Four In recent years the issue of sustainability and ‘green’ events has risen in importance. It could be argued that this is positive however, it could also be argued that this is all about clever marketing that links to the attendee’s ethical ethos to encourage attendance to these events – critically evaluate.
