Read “The Crisis of American Criminal Justice” and prepare a paper examining the issues that Maechling raises. Be sure to explain the purpose of the article and compare and contrast the different systems with an emphasis on the various procedures and their impact on the outcome of criminal cases. Be sure and address the strengths and weakness of both systems. Finally, should we modify any of our procedures based upon Maechling’s discussion. Support your conclusions.
