Should teachers in schools be armed and trained to confront active shooters?
3) What are the Pros and Cons to arming Teachers? There are hundreds of accidental discharges of weapons by law enforcement officers every year, some resulting in serious bodily injury or death to another person. LE officers are highly trained professionals and receive a lot of firearms training yet still have accidental discharges. 4) What are the odds of teachers having an accidental discharges and killing a student or another teacher? Don’t teachers have enough to worry about without having to confront an active shooter too?
