Our design will be an insole for shoes that is divided into 8 zones -as found in literature- and will have pressure sensors and valves embedded in the insole where the pressure sensors will be calibrated to sense the pressure under the foot as the patient walk and once it exceeds the threshold; the valves will respond by compressing and by that it’ll release the foot from pressure and leave a hole under the zone where the excessive pressure is sensed. We want to do the literature as follows: 1. brief introduction about diabetes and how it leads to foot ulceration 2. focus on foot ulcer & its types ( neuropathic and arterial) and how it leads to amputation 3. the risk factors 4. the factors that affect the ulcer growth and development 5. pressure distribution under the foot 6. how excessive pressure on the foot can cause ulceration for diabetic patients
