Module Overview Judaism is the fountainhead of what are termed the “Abrahamic Religions,” all of which trace their faith to Abraham. The coupling of Law, the narrative of the Jewish People (who were created to keep God’s Law in a fallen world) and the Prophets compose the Bible, arguably the most influential text rises out of Judaism and in academic studies is often considered a form of Judaism. For Christians, the life and death of Jesus of Nazareth fulfills all of the Judaic Prophecies, in which the Christ embodies God so that humanity may have a relationship with God directly. God sacrifices and suffers the human condition in order to reach Humanity. Abiding in this relationship, God will save Humanity past the Apocalypse at the end of the World. Teaching almost radical Pacifism and obtaining forgiveness by forgiving others, Christianity remains a religion of forgiveness and redemption, championing humility, love and charity as central to its Doctrine.
