Recreational marijuana is to be legalized in Canada by Summer 2018, making Canada the first Group of Seven country to allow the drug nationwide and the second in the world after Uruguay. Bill C-45, which will legalize cannabis across the country, largely leaves it up to the provinces and territories to determine how marijuana can be sold and used.
In Ontario, the Cannabis Act was passed in December 2017 but it still has not been enacted.
As social service workers, we have to be ready to address the implementation of Cannabis legalization and its impact on our society.
You are to write a 1000 word page paper which will include the following topics:
