Identify a major news story of the day that you feel is a “Real World Issue.” The purpose of this assignment is to compare the viewpoints of people around the world on this world issue. Select a news article from three different sources. First select an article from the country that the world issue is taking place. For example: North Korea Missile testing. Then select an article on the same world issue from a news source in Canada and one from the United States. Attach your articles to your assignment when you hand it in. Be sure to reference the article in proper format. Answer the following questions about your world issue: 1. Identify the issue involved. 2. Identify the social, economic, cultural, and political or ecological components of selected issue. 3. In what area of the world is the story occurring? 4. At what level (local, national, international) is the story occurring? 5. Which of the WORLD ISSUES categories (refer to #2) do you feel the article would best be classified under? Why? 6.
