What sets the candidate apart, i.e. what makes them different from the other candidates?

Campaign messaging needs to be developed on each issue area with background information, the candidate’s track record in this area and their plan for that area in the coming years. Once all of these have been filled out the overall campaign message that incorporates the personal brand of the candidate is developed. Campaigns need to be distinctive. The messaging can be the same as the opponents but it does need to be delivered differently.

Candidates you will be looking at from the Democratic party: Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren.

With these in mind, please answer the following questions in at least 5-8 sentences, providing specific examples.

1. What are their core beliefs, key issues, and overall focus?

2. What sets the candidate apart, i.e. what makes them different from the other candidates?

3. Evaluate the messages structured by the political parties according to the Elaboration Likelihood Model (do you think they were designed to be processed centrally, peripherally).

Use the candidates campaign website they should have most of the information you need. If not you may use other websites but do not use complicated sources that are paid for such as academic studies and what not.
