-Analyse the major factors, including opportunities and challenges, related to the lived experience of mental illness and/or substance abuse for individuals, families or communities. what I have so far- Lived Experiences Individuals with mental illness, families, and their communities encounter different experiences when living with someone afflicted with mental health concerns. For instance, the patients may face isolation as well as their families. Their families may be affected by trauma and have a feeling of loss (Light et al., 2014). The individuals and their families become distressed and vulnerable. This could result in an inability to maintain relationships both at workplaces as well as within their families. It can lead to break downs in relationships between the afflicted person, their family members and community. Mr Walter Reed’s wife has shown signs of carer fatigue and has voiced her concerns on further handling the stress involved with her care of Mr Walter Reed and lack of support.
